There's some excellent stuff here ... bloody marvellous.
Mark Perry ... good man. Always liked ATV. I was singing 'How Much Longer' to my daughter just the other day ... she didn't appreciate it, the ingrate.
Yep Alternative TV were always a huge influence on me during the punk days - love those first 2 LPs to death - along with all those 7 inchers - also stuck on 'How Much Longer' the other day - classic ... perhaps your daughter would have prefferred the B-Side better !!
Release the Natives from Vibing up the Senile Man - still sounds totally crucial to these ears ...
Saw the Good Missionaries supporting Pop Group back in the day also - man - yet another damn fine lineup - maybe I should get out more these days !!
The Pop Group and the Good Missionaries ... that's a rum old double bill.
I know - the gigs that used to happen huh - funny thing was when we pulled into the car park - Cheltenham - some old hall somewhere - we heard the screaching drones of 6000-crazy - just caught the final seconds of good-old spizz-oil and all - and man - lets face nothing beats good old spizz !
