746b ..

from Germany ...

an old bed-ridden-produced number - in the press ...

"I knew naturally my nose from the previous collective did not raushalten and again as curiously, as this lady became. There I discover nevertheless DJ Group from Hong Kong, which turns around "John of" this laptop, who is among other things with Tepsichoregroup thereby. Around gehts actually not, but around steven Ives, which this very beautiful mix from own works in live-manier in August 2002 in the studio 746B in Hong Kong put down. For a long time I did not feel no more a purity, as this Ambient of masterpieces puts it to day. To produce likewise a depth, which is more organic, than one is able to think. Here situations are expenditure-cost, as one can experience them only with all its senses, are it with fear, isolation, curiosity, dreamingness, melancholy, mourning or simply only, in order to give to its soul new inspirations. Unknown worlds enters, who goes on the way of the uncertainty... Immediately of a wisdom of Dalai Lama, which announces there, reminds me: "spend each day some time alone. Open for the change your arms, but do not lose sight of thereby your values not.""

no idea what that is all about - the original says something like this ....

"Verbringe jeden Tag einige Zeit allein. Öffne der Veränderung deine Arme, aber verliere dabei deine Werte nicht aus den Augen."

So there ya have it ... me - as expected - am none the wiser ...

Go billy boy - GO

About time I suppose that someone kicked Jacks bleedin-ead-in ....

Being far more intelligent than Mr White, and having had a lot of practice at this sort of thing after spats with his ex, wonky faced art loon Tracey Emin, Childish replied rather better in an open letter: "Though I have undoubtedly angered Jack White, I think it's a bit nasty of him to accuse me of plagiarism merely because his former admiration of my work was not reciprocated," he wrote with a twinkle in his eye.

Childish then went on to continue, rather magnificently: "It all smacks of jealousy to me. I have a bigger collection of hats, a better moustache, a more blistering guitar sound and a fully developed sense of humour. The only thing I can't understand is why I'm not rich. Yours sincerely, Billy Childish."

KLF - how to make a number 1 pop-twit (OK sorry that should have said TWAT!) .....

The following is lifted as is from various sources floating around the web - now only if we could get Bill and Jimmy to load up some guns and go after those twats coldplay life would be well and truly sweet as ......

For those of you not into reading that much - here is a pic of Ms. Moss - for no other reason apart from - "hey man - tis Kate - and who needs a reason !!" ....

The Samaritans have today recruited 600 extra staff to deal with an expected surge in calls as troubled fans come to terms with today's revelations about rocker and teen icon Pete Doherty. In a surprise press conference today, the men behind Doherty's career reveled themselves - and admitted that the Libertines, Babyshambles, the tales of drug use, the armed robberies and the affair with supermodel Kate Moss have all been part of one of the largest hoaxes in British history.

The men behind the scandal - Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty, who were themselves infamous popstars under the name The KLF - admitted how they plucked a young Buddy Holly impersonator Doherty from obscurity and made him a media darling. "It was a meant to be a quick stunt to show the frailties of our celbrity-obsessed culture," said Cauty, adding, "there are too many people who are famous despite their lack of talent, usefulness and basic intelligence. We wanted to do something that held a mirror up to that." Mr Drummond called Britain's pop-culture "sick" and said that although he regretted the hurt caused to Doherty's many fans, he hoped "this incident taught us all some important things".

In a prepared statement, the two men - famous for many other pop pranks, including the famous burning of GBP1million on a remote Scottish island - detailed how they manipulated the British Press into making Doherty an icon. Doherty - whose real name has now been revealed to be Trevor McDermott - was making a living as a part-time Buddy Holly impersonator in the Cornwall holiday circuit. He began a short-lived affair with the singer of a well known 80's rock band, and was introduced to Drummond and Cauty at a backstage party in London's West End. The men described how a drunken McDermott amused them with his slurred singing and frenetic dance movements, and how they then realised that this would be the perfect "dupe" for a plan they had been hatching for some time.

"The plan involved proving three theories we have about current British society," reads the statement. "The first is that in the so-called "alternative" scene, everybody is too scared of missing The Next Big Thing to worry about anything else." To prove this, some session musicians were provided to compose the rest of the "band", The Libertines, and rumours of exposive gigs were leaked to the media. "The gigs in question never actually took place, but we didn't have to worry about that. Soon the buzz around The Libertines was so frenetic, journalists were falling over themselves to claim to have been at the front of every single fictional gig." Within weeks, The Libertines were appearing on magazines and receiving record offers. Gigs sold out in minutes, while their first album "Up The Bracket" flew off shelves.

Feeling that their first point had been proved, Drummond and Cauty moved to their second theory: "We feel that our culture has become an enormous soap opera. We don't care what a person thinks, or creates, or contributes. We just care about what they do in their normal lives. Especially when it's something they shouldn't be doing."

To demonstrate this, the men co-ordinated a number of scandals. First was a robbery staged in the house of one of the band members. When this took place, McDermott (aka Doherty) was unknown outside of the alternative music scene. An incident of this calibre was sufficient, however, to catapult McDermott onto the front page of every major national tabloid. "One day we has just another singer, the next day he was 'Disgraced Celebrity Rocker', and he hasn't been out of the papers since". Further revelations about drug abuse and violence kept McDermott and The Libertines on the front pages for months.

One thing that took even Drummond and Cauty by surprise was the affair with model Kate Moss. "That was not something that we planned or had any involvement. Whether she knew about the hoax is something we are not party to. We have never had any contact with Miss Moss." However, this was the boost their project needed - where the drugs and crime had made McDermott a media sensation, the relationship with one of fashion's most famous women catapulted him into the world of true celebrity. "While we had not planned this, it certainly proved our point. There are many superior artists in the country today, but they never appear in Heat or The Sun, because they don't have the words 'boyfriend of Kate Moss' after their name."

Despite this boost, the project began running into a major setback for Drummond and Cauty. Just as they were preparing to enter the final phase of their scheme, Doherty decided that he wanted to part company with them, the fake band, and begin seriously recording music. He stopped all contact with the men, and threatened legal actions if any details were leaked to the press. "We were upset at the apparent failure of our grand project, and also at the monster we had created in Pete Doherty. Our third theorem - that 'If enough people say that a piece of s*** is a bar of gold, we'll believe it's a bar of gold' - seemed to have been beyond salvation. Fortunately, at that point Pete released the first Babyshambles album."

In the time since then, Drummond and Cauty have been locked in a vicious legal battle, which was eventually settled out of court by the discovery of a videotape showing McDermott singing "Peggy Sue" at a Butlin's in Devon. Publicly, McDermott still strongly denies all charges. How this affects the future career of Pete Doherty remains to be seen.

Search engine optimization.

The interesting thing about monitoring stats for websites - lay in what the heck you the reader is searching for that allows you to stumble upon this here bottomless pit of intellect wit and general lap-sap ...

sooo... let it be known - I too am nothing short of a slave to the share-holders of this site - yes - them upstairs who all consideration must be made - just like Google - buckling under pressure from the PRC - offering a watered down search-engine for theChinese masses - simply so they can get the foot into that market - I too must consider what the people want ...

soo - for all you (and you know exactly who you all are) - those of you who for some reason or the other stumble upon this site - whilst drooling and shaking as you type in KARAN - MOK - NAKED - LEGS - FLESH - LEGS - MOK - CANTO - CHICK - POP - MANDO - NEKKID - NUDE - LEGS - MOK - SOKS

Old old old - but just found audio from the mighty FALL ... this being a document of the final straw for the old-guard (Hanley et. al.) - and the on-stage antics of a somewhat pissed Mark E Smith vs the-rest-of-the-band .... sort of funny in a sad-sort-of-way - although without this falling out we probably would not have the full-throttle-power-machine that modern-day Head-Rolling MES-n-co are ...

and for those around Bristol in March - see ya at the Acadamy !

MES: "And these three are gonna beat me up like the big men they are." (start of Masquerade)..

MES: "What we got here is a Scottish man, a fucking animal on drums, and a fucking idiot."

Burns: "yeah, no singer, man. Where's the fucking singer ? You cock"

MES: "I've been assaulted in public here by two people, or three people, you've been witness to this. Bear witness laddies. They're very big....I tell you what, these three...I got a taxi and some fucker pulled a gun out on me, from fucking Pakistan or someone."

(Hanley mimes a violin and adds appropriate woe is me noises)

MES: "Look, the very thing...these three were cowering in the fucking dressing room....as...usual......"

MES: (throws mic onto stage) (band goes into tune-up racket) (picks mic up) "They don't work for (the team ?)... They're very hard....all together." (MES) (walks off) (all end of Free Range)

System for Multiple Compositions on a Theme

This just through from the [NEW-MEDIA-CURATING] listserver - and reprinted as is ... cool stuff to these ears and eyes !!

http://www.asquare.org/project/composition_system/

System for Multiple Compositions on a Theme is a series of videos shot and edited on analog equipment in 1995 for the sole purpose of experimenting with editing video to create audio compositions. Rather than the norm of composing a video, the image, into a sequence, here the audio was composed and the accompanying image became incidental, secondary.

The re-presentation of the video experiments on the internet not alone document and expose them to a wider audience than the original analog cassettes but also serves as a means to progress the early video experiments as a website experiment.

The network provides a means to reconfigure the way the work is viewed by changing the artist's (sole author of the art work) relationship with his audience. The artist, rather than defining a narrative, defines a framework for the art to work within. Experimentation with methods of sending, retrieving and presenting information on the internet, such as the use of html forms and server side scripting allows him to this time construct a system for controlling / viewing the art work rather than an art work that is simply to be viewed. The spectacle of cinema and its audience is replaced by individual user's, separated and distributed across many spaces / places, each as co-author's / contributor's with the artist to their viewing and interpretation of his work.

The composition creation interface on the website, allows users to actively participate in the composition of the experiments and experience an approximation of the act of originally editing these experiments by the artist. It consists of a grid of nine positions, three across and three down, where any position on the grid can be occupied by any of the nine videos any number of times. This gives a possible 2318107019760 combinations, where...

18 + 182 + 183 + 184 + 185 + 186 + 187 + 188 = 2318107019760

Videos can be given a parameter to loop, loop back and forth (palindrome) or not loop. Lag, download speed on the internet, as well as video duration is used as a means to offset how the videos will sound / display within the website creating an overlap that is never quite the same.

Give me that bloody guitar - I demand the right to rock ....

Years before the post-digital-landscape allowed us pesky-glitch-techno-nerds to hunch over laptops-n-stuff,,, bad-backs snapping and creaking in time to the stuttered struts of minimal-jitter-stomp (well that what I am calling it these days) - FG sonic-weapon of desire was the trusty six-stringed Shergold Modulator ... lovely beast - and one which I am still awaiting return (yep - lesson number 23 - never lend your six string - period) ...

digging in me box of old TDK cassettes - as ya do - I stumbled upon this piece of slowly decaying 80's classic (the tape ya fools not the content) - a gig recording no less - Red Lion - Crewkerne - circa 1982 .... in tha mix - said Shergold, Wem Copycat (yes oh yes - I still have pocession of this babe) - and a certain mr-fallows post-mobster on the skins - not sure what to make of the thang - but silly not to embarass everyone involved (look man - it was the blasted 80s - if ya lived-it - ya might get it - if ya were too yung (or indeed jung) - lucky-old yoo-yu) ..

FG presents - Red Lion, Crewkerne, Somerset (zum toim in tha 80s...)

or if ya cannot stomach that stuff (personally I dig it - but then - heck - I wuld wuld oi not) - then this description from wikipedia supplies (amongst the boring crap like) :

  • Mike Rutherford of Genesis, who had a set of double neck Modulators custom made in 1977 which could be split in half and interchanged
  • Peter Hook of New Order, plays six string Marathon basses
  • Julian Cope, plays various Custom Doubles
whatever - who gives a shit what Mike - bleedin - 'fox lies down and gets run over by tram' plays ... but what is interesting (I know - this post is starting to suck big ones - as indeed am I once I get the five-sheeta well and truly rolled) ... is that - Shergold - is indeed listed under (and here not only do I quote - but also link) .... List of female porn stars by decade - now how bloody cool is that!

ah - whatever - "what a day - what a day - alllll day !! ..."

side - note - this blog was hacked - trust me (and I am a doctor so yu shhuld) - FG has lost his mind - and if anyone knows where it is - then please please please - KEEP IT - it has caused him nothing but problems so far - and he is BETTER ORF WIV OOT IT .. thx xx

Lets get pissed and make some art ..

This I appreciate very very much .... brought to my attention by Dad-of-FG yesterday - whilst he ranted about the horrors of wasting good lotto money on binge-drinking .. I say - drink up - the Arts Council of England is paying the tab ... yee-haa ..!

anti-cool — Tomoko Takahashi (Yokosuka, Japan) consumes large amounts of alocohol)
Critics of a state-funded art show in which the female performer consumes large quantities of beer have branded it a stupid display of binge drinking and have called for it to be banned.

The Japanese artist Tomoko Takahashi is quite content with her work, however. After all, it's not every one-time Turner Prize nominee who gets a £5,000 grant to down 48 bottles of lager and then try to walk across a balancing beam.

Audiences at the Government-funded Chapter arts centre in Canton, Cardiff, see Miss Takahashi arrive on stage in high heels and a smart black business suit. For the next three hours, they watch her drink bottle after bottle, periodically lurching towards her beam and seeing how much of it she can negotiate without falling off.

All sounds like a perfectly normal evening in Farmer Glitch mansions - I am often found early hours - dressed in mini-skirt - perched on the wall outside, high-heels in place - flaggon of cider in hand - lets face it man - I came up with the idea of the drunken-lunging-swagger decades before Ms. Takahashi donned said mini-skirt-n-heels, let alone managed to consume 48 cans of beer - an application to South West Arts is now submitted - as an artist (laff if you must) - I DEMAND MY FREE BEER ... if that fails - I am off to hook up with afore-mentioned Tomoko this very instant - I think we have a whole lot in common (esp after the first dozen or so bottles!) ..
